My name is Sue Taylor and I am going to be totally honest with you.
I have had my own share of weight issues. In my early 20's I ballooned from just under 9stone up to over 11stone in weight. I had always been slim and managed to stay that way without a problem, but as I approached 25, my weight steadily increased and to say I was unhappy with myself was an understatement.
I literally hated myself. I began to feel depressed. I started to make excuses to friends when they asked me to go on a night out. I started to use food as a comfort tool and the downward spiral began.
So I decided to take action. I started to go to a 'slimming club' which to be honest made me feel worse. I found I became even more obsessed with food, and put more weight on. I then tried 'shakes' which made me feel sick. I then tried starving myself and just to make matters worse tried all sorts of crazy slimming pills too! Absolute nightmare. I was feeling pretty much out of control by this point.
Out of shear desperation I stepped up and took control of my life and my now bloated and unhealthy body and took steps to put if right. This led me into the fitness industry where I have remained for the past 15 years. Having been exercising on and off for over 2 years my fitness was okay but I was not losing any weight, so I decided to give bootcamp a try. I had steadily put on weight over the last 3 years. Fitness classes had never appealed to me. When I saw the fat loss bootcamp advert I thought everyone there would have the same aim as me. OK. So let me guess what you are thinking? That it sounds tough? That you have never done a boot camp before and that you are unfit and out of shape and probably won't be able to do it?

So how come you have never managed to reach your goals before?
Here are some common reasons why that may be:
Diets make you feel fed up and hungry therefore you never stick to them for long!
You are always stressed out! Stress can make you fat due to the fat storage hormone cortisol
You never have time for your own health and fitness. Always too much other stuff to do!
The gym does not appeal to you at all. Too stuffy, sweaty, busy and full of posers!!
You think you have to do hours of cardio to lose weight and you cannot bear the idea of it!
You can't do this all by yourself. You need someone to support and motivate you (we all need that though right?)
1 – I am really unfit at the moment? Is it still ok to come along? Of course it’s ok! That’s why you are coming right? Most people that start camp are ‘unconditioned’. This means they may not have done any structured exercise in a long time! Don’t worry. We are all in it together!
2 – What if I can’t keep up with everyone else? You don’t need to ‘keep up’ with anybody. You work out AT YOUR OWN PACE! Nobody gets left behind or is made to feel intimidated or embarrassed.
3 – I haven’t got any co-ordination! You don’t need any!! There is no choreography to follow. Just a simple warm up, main section and cool down. Everybody does the same thing at the same time!
4 – What do I need to wear? Anything that you are comfy in! Preferably old training stuff that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty! In the cold winter months there are a few essentials required: A good warm hat. Waterproof gloves and lots of layers. Make sure you wear 3-4 layers on top and 2 on the bottom. You WILL soon get warm even in the winter so you need to be able to remove some layers. You can then put them back on when the session is done. Waterproof trainers are not essential, but recommended. They will keep your feet warm and dry! I wear Gortex trainers and you can buy these from any good sports shop.
5 - Should I eat something before I come to train? Well this depends on two things really; what TIME you are training and your own personal preference. If you are coming along to the 0615 camps and cannot face eating first that’s fine; don’t force yourself. However, you MUST drink at least ½ litre of clean fresh water before training and make sure that your drink through the session and after too. If you are training later in the day then I would suggest having a snack or a light meal about 2 hour’s pre workout and again, maintain hydration.
6 – Can I just sign up for PART of the camp? No. The camp has a START AND END DATE. When you sign up, you are committing to 28 days on the camp.
7 – What if I miss some sessions? Can I ‘carry them over’ to the next camp? Again, the answer is NO! If you have a holiday booked or days away during the camp, you would ‘lose’ them. It is best to sign up for camp when you can commit to the whole 28 days!
8 – Do I have to follow the LIFE 2.0 Nutrition System? That depends on one thing....how badly you want your results. If you are coming to camp FOR THE FIRST TIME and you are coming for FAT LOSS then yes, you will be expected to follow the system 100% for the first 28 days. The system has proved successful over and over again. However, not everyone that comes to camp comes for fat loss, so if your goal is simply to feel fitter, stronger, or maybe to try something different you are more than welcome too.
9 – Can I just turn up on Day 1? No, you MUST book on to the camp by contacting me direct. Places on the full camps are LIMITED.
10 – Do you have to get weighed? Yes, if you are on board for fat loss you are expected to weigh and measure yourself the day before the camp starts; Measure the chest at nipple height, waist at belly button height, hips at widest part, one arm at widest part and one thigh at widest part. Weigh yourself first thing in the morning, naked after you have been to the toilet. Every Sunday from then on, you will email your trainer with your results so we can make sure you are getting fantastic progress continuously throughout the camp!
11 – What do we do if it is raining or really bad weather? We carry on regardless. There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!
12 – Do you have to pay for camp all at once? Yes you do. There will be a cut off date for payment for each camp. You will be notified of this when you sign up.
13 – How much is it and how do I pay? Your first 28 day camp is £97. That includes 12 gut busting training sessions, a full copy of the LIFE 2.0 Nutrition System, 24 hour access to me or my trainers and daily emails and support. 14 – Do I need to bring anything with me to camp? Yes....your smile, your energy and a drink of water!!
